Senior Day for Girls Track. Tigers win all phases

The Northport Girls Spring Track Team celebrated Senior Day with a win over Copiague. Let’s just say they ran away with it. 

Seniors Grace Werthheimer, Brianna Vaccarino, Hayden Joyce and Kelly Kropp
Senior Sprinter Olivia Jaworski won  1st  place in the 100 Meter with a personal best time of 12.50   She won the 200 as well with a time of 26.4
 
Mia Wickard  won the 1500 meter event with a time of  4:48.0 and Maggie Taylor   took 1st  place in the 3000 meter at  12:03.6
 
Senior Lianna Greenstein   was first 1st in the Triple Jump with a leap of   33 1/2  and also won  the long jump at 14-5 while senior Grace Wertheimer won gold in the both the 100m and 400m hurdles. 
 
The throwers, led by senior Kelly Kropp, took 14 out of a 18 points.
 
“It felt really good to get a personal best on senior day,” said Jaworski, who’s hair was shaded somewhere between cyan and powder blue for this meet. “I’m hoping this performance will allow me to get a better seed time for divisions.”
 
The Lady Tigers have an invitational meet on Friday May 13th against West Babylon and then will have a contingent of girls competing at Divisional Finals at Connetquot on May 24th.  The New York State qualifying meet will at Comsewogue High School on June 2nd and 3rd.
